Crayons in the canyon.
While flying over Múlagljúfur last week, we were surprised by this shock of Autumn colour in what is an unlikely setting for such a riotous display. The canyon emerges from underneath the outlet tongues of the Öræfajökull glacier (seen in the final image) in South Iceland.
PS: Can you spot the human figure(s) in the second image?
The Fall Tales collection.
superb!
Thanks.
Such magnificient beauty shown here amigo! The harsh darkness of the rocks brilliantly lit by the autumn colors is pure pleasure to view! The deep gorges, the snow topped peaks, overlooks to view such an environment and to photograph! No I did not 100% sure I saw any humans. Brilliant, vibrant images my friend!
Thank you, Dan. It was a spectacle and we were at the right place at the right time.
Woow! Spectacular colours and spectacular photos all of them. Figures in #2: at the small river in the foreground, one if you follow the line of the waterfall, the other 15 m to the right?
Thank you, Paul. The humans are to the right of the bottom of the waterfall, near the white mound.
Beauties, all of them. No. 2 figures: I think there are two possible figures on the rigid line at the top of the photo: one figure at ca. 1/3th from left, the second 1/3th from the right. Strictly guesswork.
Thanks, Bob. I have emailed you the crop showing the humans.
What a party of color. Wonderful. It is always interesting to see where the red blueberry bushes are in the autumn, and I always want to remember them for next summer. Not so easy to spot when they are green. Another use case for autumn photography. Thanks for the fall treat.
Thank you, Curt. Indeed, those blueberry shrubs truly light up the slopes when they turn in the Fall.
