The water of the Hólmsá river tumbles down the canyon to form the lovely Axlafoss waterfall. Hólmsá itself has its source in the nearby Mýrdalsjökull glacier. A short video follows the stills.

I enjoyed the study in contrast between the exposure length in the first and second photos, and how it affected the cascades and waterfall. Very elegant in both cases.
