Volcanic saga.
The realm of Hekla bears the fire and fury of the volcano. Ash and ice draw their shifting lines, ridges unfold in austere geometry, and lone peaks stand as sentinels before this active volcanic ridge. To wander here is to read an epic inscribed in stone and flame.

These landscapes present alien features to most Westerners amigo. For me I love them. I could very easily slip into that realm and blend right in. Fantastic photography!
Thank you, Dan. It is indeed a wondrous area.
These pictures (just like the ones before) are extraordinary but what fascinates me also is the narrative that accompanies them, Rajan-Bab. The beguiling splendour of Nature has found in you an accomplished minstrel. Thank you for sharing.
Antonio-bab: Pleased to hear that the images made an impress on you. Iceland is a very special place.
Just spectacular R-baab ! Your last line says it all.
Sanjeev-bab: As always, a pleasure to hear from you.
Fantastic, Rajan. I was just there for the first time last week. You’ve grabbed some great dramatic views that are from an overlooked (in my opinion) area. Thank you for bringing light to these incredible places.
Thanks, Curt. You are right – this region is often overlooked as most are anxious to get further in towards Landmannalaugar.
