World’s loneliest house.
Elliðaey is part of Vestmannaeyjar, the archipelago just off the south coast of mainland Iceland. The isle is uninhabited, and the only house on it is a hunting lodge run by Elliðaeyjarfélag.
Beyond Elliðaey is seen the glacial volcano Eyjafjallajökull.
Wonderful! Really interesting to see the scale unfold.
Thanks.
Thanks, Jackson and Antonio.
Wonderful! The three different scales tell quite the story.
Magical. Thank you.
Lovely group of photos. How do you like that Zeiss lens? It looks very sharp, with a nice complement of contrast.
Bob – the Zeiss ZE 50 f/2 Makro Planar and its twin ZE 100 f/2 Makro Planar are magnificent. The ZE 50 is my “f/8 and be there” lens. From Macro to Street to Landscape, it can do it all. Zeiss has discontinued the line and now offers the same optics in its Milvus line. The only upgrade, so far as I can tell, is in the price.
Wow, that is one lonely house, Rajan…
Yes, it is a lovely sight as you sail on the ferry from/to the mainland.
It’s Beautiful
Thanks, Swapnil-bab.
