Lava me some fish.
Veiðivötn (lit. fishing lakes) is a cluster of crater lakes dotting a large volcanic desert deep in the Highlands of Iceland. These lakes are fertile fishing grounds, highly prized for their Brown trout and Arctic char. Even if fishing isn’t your thing, there is so much in this otherworldly landscape for the eyes to feast on.
These images were taken during the course of an afternoon last week.
Thank you, Bob and Premanand.
These photographs are striking examples of use of negative space, especially the first one. Very well done.
Very special! I can relate at a deep level to the fisherman in these photos: alone and thoroughly enjoying the moment. Nice work, Rajan.
These are beautiful pictures, but, believe it or not, are much more beautiful to a fisherman. The first one is especially haunting.
Mervyn-bab – I hear you.
