Mornin’ in Chorão

A sanctuary for birds and humans.

Scenes of a serene morning in Chorão, Goa. The island’s estuarine habitat with its mangroves is rich in wildlife and is a designated bird sanctuary.

Check out the video short at the end of this post.

Aside: Chorão was the home of the Parrikars before their dislocation to Parra following the sacking of the village by the Portuguese.

What beautiful pictures and video,, Rajan.

I just returned from Goa and also visited Bangalore and coastal Karnataka.
Your pictures of Goa confirm my own conclusions that Goa is still one
of the most beautiful places in India.

A picture is worth a thousand words and your many pictures are proof
of Goa’s rich tapestry. of natural beauty combined with a mix of the
Indian-Portuguese, Hindu-Christian blend of architecture and culture.
Will it escape the fate of Bangalore of being changed from an
Indian-British colonial garden city into a concrete jungle and a
    tangled urban mess??
