Bárður’s valley.
This 30 miles long and narrow valley in north Iceland takes its name after the first settler Gnúpa-Bárður. The glacial river Skjálfandafljót runs through, punctuating its flow in two of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, namely, Aldeyjarfoss and Goðafoss.
Some of the world’s finest woollen sweaters are made in Bárðardalur, hand knit with their signature Icelandic patterns by the ladies at the farms.
This is beautiful.
