Inclement weather.
The lower half of Iceland has been socked in by extreme conditions the past few days. Despite the dire forecast, we made bold to head out into the south-central Highlands today. High winds and ‘horizontal rain’ (as Icelanders are wont to call it) rendered photography from the tripod all but impossible. The bright spot was that we had the wilds virtually to ourselves.
A quick visual summary of our day follows.
Hi Rajan,
I very much enjoy the first photo, with its color contrast against the bleak background. Not owning one, I’m amazed at the quality of image from the iPhone7. Of course, the last one is magnificent as well, as I commented recently on LuLa.
Best wishes,
Bob
Thank you, Bob. The iPhone 7 camera is very good. Not DLSR quality (yet) but improving with every iteration.
Did you do any selective colourization in the first photograph?
No, the scene is how it looked to our eyes. It is a volcanic desert environment of ash, lava & mountains.
