Sweet light.
Late evening glow on the Skálatindar peaks in Southeast Iceland. The nearby farm Seljavellir is seen in the second image.

Rajan bhai, I was looking at the enlarged photograph of Skálatindar and while staring at it I, de repente, wanted to climb it. Is it possible for anyone to, without any mountaineering gears, simply keep walking and climbing the slopes of Skálatindar?
Most mountains in Iceland are amenable to hiking on trails with varying levels of difficulty. The farmers living at the base are typically used to running up and down these mountains to fetch their sheep. I do not know specifically about Skálatindar but the farmer at Seljavellir (the nearby farm) will know the route up.
Beautiful color!
Thanks, Jon.
Beautiful scenes! I could almost believe these were ranches in Nevada or Idaho.
Jackson,
Good to hear from you.
