Strandarkirkja

The richest church in Iceland.

Strandarkirkja (lit. Beach Church, from the Icelandic word “strönd” denoting beach or shore) lies exposed to the North Atlantic ocean on the east shore of the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland. The church has a reputation for bringing good luck to those who add to its coffers. Check out this music video by Björk.
