Outdoors on a monsoon morning in Goa.
Among the benisons of my young days were the open spaces the minute one walked out of the home. Those spaces have now been thoughtlessly filled with ugly concrete. Panjim, once possessing of great charm and beauty, has been transformed into just another Indian town, a sorry pile of visual dreck. Mine was the last fortunate generation. Today one has to drive well beyond Panjim in search of the few surviving pockets of the great Goan outdoors.
These are scenes from a recent Sunday I spent with my little niece Priyanka (Saraswati) amid the luscious surroundings of Quitala, a ward in the village of Salvador do Mundo. This is the best we can do for her generation.
AWESOME PICTURES UNCLE.
HOPE I COULD BE FRIENDS WITH YOUR NIECE.
PLEASE SEND MORE AWESOME PICTURES AND
TEACH PAPA TO TAKE SUCH GOOD PICTURES.
SONYA
Rajan Bab, you are always great. When I view the photos I just felt that I am very much present there and taking a deep breath of the morning freshness. We really miss such green bounty and out door morning freshness in the Gulf.
Please continue posting with your latest clicks which are always amazing.
Cheers,
Mathew Estrocio.
Doha Qatar.
My dear Rajabab,
Once again Thank You for preserving the memory of Green.
BTW: is there another Quitala in Aldona (south of the church), or is it the same?
best

JC-bab,
Yes, this Quitala is different from the one you cite above. There are probably more Quitalas elsewhere in Goa.
