The wedding of Tulsi will be celebrated in all Hindu households across Goa today. These images of the festivities were taken in 2007 on the island of Chorão.
By the way, the first Hindu member to the US House of Representatives was elected earlier this month and her name is Tulsi.

“Tulsi Che Lagna” always reminds me of my best friend Venu. One day, post Diwali, Venu came to our house in Mumbai. Papa was in Goa at that time for Tulsi lagna. Venu asked where is papa and I told him he was in Goa for attending Tulsi’s wedding. Next year during the same time of the year (i.e. post Diwali) Venu visited us again. Papa as usual was in Goa for Tulsi wedding. Venu asked me where he was and I told him so. Venu famous for his one line bazookas said something which I will never forget. He said “Saala Tulsi hain ya Britney Spears. Har saal shaadi karti hain!” 🙂
