चलत्कर्णानिलोद्धूतसिन्धुरारुणिताम्बरः ।
जयत्यकालेऽपि सृजन्सन्ध्यामिव गजाननः ॥
Victorious is Ganesha, the elephant-faced One –
the wind from the flapping of Whose ears
blows the copper-red sindhura on His body
upwards to the sky – making twilight
at the wrong time of the day!
