The first thought that I had was, where is everybody? Then I took a step back to absorb the light and the design of the temple. Reading the name of the place, it sounded familiar. A google search reminded me of the $22 billion in gold found here. Harnessing the waters, all those years ago, led to prosperity – I guess.
Yes, its assets make it one of the wealthiest temples in the world.
Glorious light bathing Lord’s abode. I find this photo absolutely beautiful, though I don’t fully understand why …but am happy to no leave it at that.

Beautiful architecture on the temple, but what makes this photo (for me) is the gentle reflections on the water. I would love to see the same scene with much more foreground water to emphasize the reflections all the more, but that’s just me. Nicely photographed!
Bob: You make a good point. I took this photo 14 years ago in 2007. Don’t quite remember why I framed it the way I did.
