Plaque bearing original name of the street, near Panjim Church 5D Mark II, Zeiss ZE 50 f/2 MP
The original name of this street leading to Altinho (seen below) was Avenida do Sagrado Coração de Jesus (Avenue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus). The plaque is at the edge of the fence on the left of the frame.

I thought that Avenida S. Coracao de Jesus was always called Avenida Almirante Reis (now called Rua Pe. Agnelo, or in English, Fr. Agnelo Road), having lived on that road for my first 25 years. Just goes to show that we sometimes miss the tiny details! Thanks, Rajan, for updating me on the history of that area.ReplyCancel
