Narrow ridges lined with palm trees running through paddy fields are a common sight in Goa. Built primarily for access and known as baan in Konkani, they are as old as the fields themselves. The arresting geometry of one such baan in the village of Goa Velha drew me in.
1) Yep, it will not be long before such scenes disappear forever.
2) The green in these pictures is that hue which I wait the whole winter to see.
