Columnar basalt. A spectacular wall of basalt columns in the southern Highlands of Iceland. Vehicular access to this area is granted only once a year during the annual sheep roundup in the Fall.

Rhyolite colours. Innra-Hvannagil is a spectacular gorge on the way to Borgarfjörður Eystri in the Eastfjords of Iceland. Hvannagil is a compound of Hvönn (Icelandic for Angelica) and Gil (gorge).
