Hlíðarendi Revisited

Late evening in a magical place.

The historic farm of Hlíðarendi in south Iceland is associated with Njáls Saga. In the first image below, the glacial volcano Eyjafjallajökull, that erupted last in 2010, is seen in the background.

See my post from 2010 here.

Rajan, this is a picture. It will always remain subjective to the eye of the beholder. There is some merit to being hatched, matched and dispatched at the same spot – but that is not for me. Others are fully content in the spot they were born. Each person has his own story or poem to write/record.ReplyCancel

Four different perspectives ob a single subject. The last one was the most cruel (to me). People are baptised, live and then buried a few feet from where it all started. This landscape can be a womb protecting you – or a prison.ReplyCancel

Mervyn-bab: Good to hear from you. Why cruel? Isn’t there poetry in this circle of life?ReplyCancel
