Breiðabólsstaður

Ancient farm and parsonage.

The church at Breiðabólsstaður in south Iceland was designed by Rögnvaldur Ólafsson (1874-1917) in the Sweitzer style. He realized a total of three churches in this motif; the second is at Húsavík in the north and the third at Hjarðarholt (to be featured later) in the west.

An article on Rögnvaldur’s work is archived here on pages 4-8 (in Icelandic only).
